In ordinary breathing, only a very little volume of old air can be squeezed out, leaving the bottom of the lungs almost inactive. This is one of the reasons why yogic breathing emphasizes long, slow, deep exhalation so that great quantities of old, stagnant air can be removed and replaced with fresh air. The more air that is squeezed out, the more fresh air that rushes into the lungs from the atmosphere, since there cannot be any vacuum in the air sacs. This is the best way one can have good, healthy lung tissues.
During the process of inhalation with deep, slow breathing, the diaphragm pays great attention to the process of ex halation. During the inhalation process, the whole respiratory system comes into play and no portion of the lungs is left unfilled with fresh air. The entire respiratory organism responds to this method of breathing.
The original version of the Pranayama (yogic breathing) system involves all three methods of breathing simultaneously. It starts with inhalation and the ratio between inhalation, retention and exhalation is 1:4:2.
St. Germain's Alchemical Breath Control system involves all the four methods of breathing simultaneously.
ABC commences with a deep, pre-exhalation to squeeze out an entire stagnant air in the air sacs by flattening the abdomen, consciously eliminating it, then moving onto the inhalation process. It begins with low inhalation at the lower abdomen, the solar plexus, continue to the lower chest while maintaining high breathing. The secret of charging the Divine energy is hidden in the chest breathing; it is essential to elongate the chest (vertically), then expand (horizontally), while inhaling continually to the middle chest, and finally finish with high breathing to the upper chest (the feeling of infusing the air into the throat and to the top of the head). It is similar to the movement of creating the rhythmic wave-like motion as though the serpent, in its upward movement, is in the frontal portion of the governing meridian. The end of the inhalation is followed by the retention of breath, which is greatly emphasized in the Alchemical Breath Control.

Relax as you do this and when you are ready, complete the breath control by slow exhalation of the air, using the same exhalation method in the initiatory stage of this breath control exercise. The ratio between the pre-exhalation, inhalation, retention, and the exhalation is 1:1:3:1. If the pre-exhalation and inhalation of the breath is 5 seconds, the retention of the breath is 15 seconds, and the final exhalation is 5 seconds. The retention of the breath can be extended up to your own limit then followed by exhalation. Alchemists have known that the secret of power is concealed within the mid-point of this retention of the breath, which can charge the magnanimous universal energy.
The key for the successful programming is depend on this energy. The more you are familiar with this technique, the more it draws abundance quickly into your life. By practicing this powerful technique (ABC) daily, you can attain regeneration of physical condition and appearance; you will soon escape into a new dimentional world of youth, beauty, and wisdom.
