Terms used in this Document:
----------------------------

GameDirPath:
This refers to the full path to the folder where Aliens versus
Predator 2 ["AVP2"] is installed. By default AVP2 is installed
to "c:\Program Files\Fox\Aliens vs. Predator 2". However since
you may have changed this, paths will be defined in terms of
GameDirPath (e.g., GameDirPath\Tools is where the Tools are
    installed)

Overview:
---------

What's included in AVP2 Tools Update 1:

- Updated GameDirPath\Tools\DEdit.exe to "Talon" version. This
version can import .lta files, which are used in the process of
converting geometry made in several popular 3D modeling programs
into AVP2 levels. Use the "File-->Import World..." menu command to
add an .lta to your level (you must have a level open first). See
the "terrain_tutorial.doc" file in the Docs folder for more on
working with .lta files.

- Updated GameDirPath\Tools\ModelEdit.exe to "Talon" version. As
with DEdit for Talon, this version of ModelEdit can import .lta
files. Use the "File-->Load" menu command to load an .lta file, or
use the "File-->Import" command to add an .lta to a model you've
loaded.

- Added a tutorial in creating and using dynamic lights to create
such effects as rotating fan shadows and destructible lights.
Included are:
    GameDirPath\Tools\Docs\DynamicLights.doc:
      tutorial documentation
    GameDirPath\AVP2\Worlds\SinglePlayer\DynamicLights.ed:

level containing vehicle prefabs used in the single-player game,
including among others the Betty, the Verloc, the Marine dropship,
a truck and a keyframed APC with live turrets, as well as an outer
space set. The level is broken up into three separate rooms, use
the "cheat mpcanthurtme" and "cheat mpsixthsense" cheat codes to
clip between the areas.

- Added GameDirPath\Tools\Docs\avp2_ai_notes.doc, a detailed
document on AVP2 AI commands and functions.

- Added GameDirPath\Tools\Docs\avp2_trigger_notes.doc, covering
beginning and advanced use of trigger messages for scripted events.

- Added GameDirPath\Tools\Docs\custom_level.txt, a document
describing how to get levels to show up in the "Single Player-->
Custom Level" game menu.

- Updated documentation:

    GameDirPath\Tools\Docs\Contents.htm:
Removed NOLF reference from the html title.
    GameDirPath\Tools\Docs\DEdit.htm:
Noted case sensitivity of the "WorldName" command parameter.

Fixed a typo in the first sentence.
