Chapter 8: First Look At The Colosseum
After minutes of walking through the academy’s hall, the three arrive at a large doorless entrance made of marble supported by two columns, with sculptured depictions of two monstrous lions with numerous wings behind their back that seems to crawl down on the side of the entrance.
The three enter the massive colosseum, with rows upon rows of seats that stretches down to the arena, separated by a marble fence that circles around it.
There are even a few beastkin’s using one of those seats, as they either use the place to have lunch or to simply hang out amongst their peers.
“ Woah… “
“ Huh… I wonder why the academy even has a colosseum? “
“ Me too “
While Randell and Mhyv took their time to look around the colosseum out of curiosity and awe, Amori searches to find Jasper amongst the beastkin's using those seats.
Spotting him just below the fences looking more agitated than the last time they saw him.
“ There he is!
Randell, follow me! “
“ I mean I've been following for a while now but yeah, sure. “
Walking down through the entrance's stairs, they arrive at Jasper's location shortly after.
Jasper wasn't exactly thrilled to see the three, especially Amori, as there was a hint of bitterness with his neck-frills almost reaching over his head.
“ Why are you here Phosphyte. “
“ Nothing much~
I'm just checking on what Rico got himself into this time. “
“ So you're here to enjoy my misery? “
“ What? Don't think about it like that, maybe you'll be able to finally stop him from wrecking the arena. “
“ I hope so…
And pray tell, why do you have this beastkin following you? “

This is Randell, Luca ask me to give him a short detour of the academy “

Why would he even give such a task? “
“ Well Randell helped him fight some monsters at the alleyway once. “

Whatever the reasons, please leave this place, I don't want him to see the idiocracy of my partner. “
“ Well I'm sure your girlfriend has some reasons why she's using the arena. “

Amori couldn't hold back his laughter while Jasper stares Randell straight in the eye, looking extremely offended and insulted.
“ W-what? Was I wrong? “
“ Yeah! Did you really think he meant romantic partner!? “
“ Then why did he say partner!? “

He meant his partner in Betsive? “
“ I have no idea what that is. “
“ You'll know when you enrolled in this academy. “

Jasper yells before leaving the two behind.

Randell was about to try to apologize to Jasper until Mhyv tapped his shoulder, causing him to turn around to look at him as he sees that Mhyv seems to stare at the arena.
Curious, he turned to the direction where he was looking and saw two beastkins jumping over the fence and walking to the center of the sand filled field, with the left side a brown-furred wolfdog beastkin wearing a brown shirt with some shorts and shoes and on the right is a wolverine beastkin wearing leather pants, jacket over a black shirt, black shoes, and a spiked collar on his neck.
Before Randell could even say a word, Jasper's voice immediately pierced his ears, causing him to cover them due to its sheer volume.
“ SATCHET GET OUT OF THAT ARENA THIS INSTANCE!!! “
“ Here we go again… “
“ IF YOU REFUSE I WILL FORCE YOU OUT OF THIS WRETCHED PLACE!!! “
The wolfdog from the left side simply rolls his eyes and does not respond, instead he talks to the wolverine, saying.
“ Yeah ignore him, he can be such a downer sometimes. “
“ I CAN HEAR YOU FROM DOWN HERE!!! “
Jasper tries to jump into the arena until a blue barrier suddenly stops him, as his impact causes a ripple effect that reveals a large curved barrier covering the seats outside the arena.
“ What!? “
“ Nice try Jas, but I've already set up the arena’s barrier! “
“ YOU FOOLISH MUT!!! FORFEIT AND BRING THIS BARRIER DOWN!!! “
“ Hah! No thanks! “
“ Hey Rico! “
Rico’s ears perk as he turns to see Amori waving in excitement behind the barrier. Rico waves back while yelling.
“ Hey Amori! Come to enjoy the show! “
“ You bet! Just make sure that you don't wreck him too hard! “
“ Gotcha! “
“ Woah…
I didn't know that the academy would also implement barriers here “
“ Of course they'll implement it, how exactly will they stop collateral damage from reaching the audience? “
“ Huh fare point… “
The wolverine, pissed that the fight hasn't started yet, causes him to raise his voice and shouts.
“ Can you hurry it up!
I'm inching to pummel you to the GROUND! “
