Chapter 11: 1st Day Spar Aftermath

After the fight the barrier was lifted, allowing Rico to leave the arena with the Wolverine through jumping over one of the fences. Specifically near Amori, Randell, and Mhyv's direction.

“ You still can't help yourself can you? “

Amori asks, smiling but unimpressed, Rico scratches the back of his head as his ears flattened to the back.

“ Hehe yeah~

It does look bad doesn't it, at least this recommendy did give me a run for my money! “

Before Rico could even have the chance to respond, the four immediately noticed Jasper moving to their direction, compelled with pure burning rage.

Not wanting to deal with Jasper, Rico quickly said, “ Welp, time to go to the infirmary! See ya! “ before running as fast as he can to reach an entrance.

“ DON'T YOU TURN YOUR TAIL AND IGNORE ME!!! “

Jasper runs after him, ignoring Amori, Randell, basically anyone around him as his eyes are locked in catching up to Rico.

Randell watches everything unfold from behind, before looking back at the destroyed arena, desolated with a large single cone-shaped hole.

Yet the more he stares at it, the more he notices the sands on the arena are slowly filling itself out of nowhere.

“ Ugh Amori…

Is that normal? “

Amori turns to Randell, following his eyes as he too sees the phenomenon.

“ Yup, that's completely normal.

Outside of the barriers, the technomag's installed some mechanics that allowed the arena to recover from most collateral damage. “

“ And how long will it recover? “

“ About a few minutes. “

How many expensive devices were installed in this academy? ‘

Randell thought while watching the sand fill itself and the hole from the fence slowly generating marble, repairing as much damage as it can back to its former state.

The light of the orange sky slowly dims, causing a few beastkin who were sitting on the seats to notice the change in the atmosphere.

Most of them are already preparing to leave, while a small portion of them decided to stay for a little bit longer.

“ It's getting dark, looks like we're ending our tour here. “

Mhyv said while resting his chin on top of Randell's head.

Amori, who watches Randell talk about nothing but air, simply slides into Randell and Mhyv's conversation and asks.

Oh! Sure. “

The three join the rest of the beastkin who leave the colosseum through one of the entrances, entering the building and continuing to walk through the halls.

The lights within the academy soon lit up once sunlight no longer reached their windows, with beastkin slowly disappearing within the hallway, leaving only a handful of them to stay within the group's vision.

They eventually reach the gate. The sky that was once orange turns into a dark shade of purple, with street lamps and the light of nearby buildings illuminating the streets for all the remaining beastkins to see.

“ It was nice meeting you today!

Sorry that our tour was so short “

“ It's no problem, I had fun just walking around the academy with you. “

“ I'm not. “

Say, I'm curious? Where do you plan on sleeping for tonight?

I know you just got here, so surely you have some relatives or friends that are willing to let you sleep with them. “

“ My mom has some friends who work in this town, but I highly doubt that they'll let me stay in their homes, so I decided to just sleep at a cheap hotel. “

“ Yup, though I would probably run out of cash from doing so.

That's why I’ll try to find some work within this town, either by asking my mom's friends if I could work with them or look for another job. “

Mhyv shouted near his shoulder, even shaking Randell out of anticipation which shocked Amori.

“ R-Randell!? “

“ S-s-sorry! M-Mhyv is just shaking me hahaha! “

“ B-but thank you Amori, I'll accept! “

Randell answers with two thumbs up, causing Mhyv to shake Randell even more violently as he couldn't contain his excitement.
