Draw a vertical line at the center of your oval. This will be your guide on the symmetry of the both sides of the face. But if the head is not facing front, your line should be place off center. If your subject’s head is facing even a little bit to the left, your line should be on the left side of your ovals center. And if it’s even slightly facing to the right, your line should be to the right of the center.
