Blending

This technique is achieved by scribbling on the part of your drawing where you want to add shading and using your fingers, or pretty much any material, to blend the  graphite to get a smoother outcome. You can use any material like cloth, tissue paper or even cotton buds to get different kinds of textures.

This is done by drawing small circles over each other slowly building the tone that you want to achieve. This is best when trying to get realistic shading for the skin
