One color quick toning

 

• Pick a color on your palette that will produce different gradients.
• Brush the lightest parts of the drawing with a thin wash of the color.
• Next is the moderate tone color, brush the medium colored areas of your drawing.
• Mix the dark tone, which is the final tone (more paint less water.) Brush the dark colored areas.
• Tip: Farthest distance should be pale dark, middle distance is medium dark tone, and the nearest should be the darkest.
