little review of the cat s31
now I've had this phone for nearly a month now and so far its been without any major issues,battery life makes it all day
the software came fairly debloated,and although not the snappiest phone out there its worked more then well enough for some light web browsing and drawing
Also unlike most phones it actually works with gloves,and does it pretty well too,to the point where other then the slight loss in dexterity I could almost ignore that I was wearing them
Though this does have some draw backs,mainly that once or twice its caused the phone to click something on the lock screen while it was was in my pocket, but I'll probably set up a macrodroid script to deal with that at some point
as for build quality its been rock solid,and the bezel around the screen is a nice touch along with the physical buttons avoiding the need for pointless gestures
the rubber case is solid but not too stiff so when it falls it doesn't really suffer much,though I did manage to goudge out a section on the corner of the phone after dropping it on concrete luckly it was easy enough to get the rubber back in place with a hot air gun
and from what I can tell looks like the whole thing comes apart with 6 hex screws(haven't checked yet as it claims to be waterproof and I'd rather it stay that way)

though its not all good news it is starting to show its age mainly in due to the usb micro port,and the 2gb of ram and 16gb of storage(it does have a sdcard slot though so its not really that bad)
and android 8.1 is a little older then I'd like,but its not too bad most apps still run fine and the ones that don't don't matter too much to me,and its nice not needing to jump through hoops just to get my old file browser working
or install a old game,and disabling the built in apps was quick and easy with adb(might make a how to later,alot of people don't know you can do this,just adb pm disable -u 0 <package name>)

I mainly bought it as it was cheap and I'd heard some good things about some of the cat flip phones,so I decided to try one of their newer devices and so far its head up well
