never thought I'd be able to say I've gotten mostly away from windows but here we are its been nice so far, alot of customization and freedom and the fact that everythings just worked for once has been so refreshing compared to our time with our t560 and its never ending list of keyboard failures, and annoying windows issues this old dell latitude has worked flawlessly and with the spare battery I picked up I can start hot swapping batteries like we could with our thinkpad(though I never ended up buying a 2nd battery for that laptop, just never had much of a reason),though idk how often it'll come in handy I'll probably just leave the 2nd battery in our bag in case we ever need it still nice to have the option again :3 along with that I've started trying to get into bash and C++ scripting, havent gotten very far on the C++ side but you might see some small projects on the ftp written in bash here or there and its forced us to actually learn the linux cli rather then just googling the odd command here or there required to start a service still a few small things that I need to setup(like a email client, just havent picked one yet as leaving something thunderbird open 24/7 seems a bit over kill,if you have any good ideas email them to us myrin@mailo.com) and maybe a better strat for dealing with smb(currently I just mount all my network shares with fuse and call it good) but other then that this has went way nicer then expected
