This is a guide on how to use wallpaper engine for free:
1. Pirate wallpaper engine, you can do this from several websites. These are a few examples:
	a. SteamRIP: https://steamrip.com/wallpaper-engine-free-download-1f/
	b. Steamunlocked: https://steamunlocked.org/wallpaper-engine-free-download/
2. Download wallpapers, since your wallpaper engine is pirated, you can not download wallpapers directly from steam workshop. Therefore, you will have to have someone else that owns the game to download and convert it to a file it for you. But there are some websites where you can request a steam workshop mod to be downloaded and converted to a file for you. This is one that I used:
	a. https://catalogue.smods.ru/game/wallpaper-engine
3. Extract the scene.pkg file. There are some online extraction tools for that. This is one of those:
	a. https://wetranslate.thiscould.work/scene.pkg/
4. Drag the folder to the wallpaper engine myprojects folder, it should be under the path Wallpaper Engine\projects\myprojects
5. Place the files extracted from the now converted scene.zip into the exact folder where the scene.pkg was originaly. If you see an error about the path being too long. Follow these steps:
	a. Open the registry editor by pressing Win + R and typing "regedit.exe"
	b. Open the folder icons until the top bar shows something like "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem"
	c. Set the "LongPathsEnabled" key to 1 (if you don't see the key, right click the window page, then hover to "new", then click on "Dword Value", then type in the key name and value as before)
	d. Restart your computer
6. You should be done and now have a custom wallpaper in wallpaper engine without spending a dime!
